WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
This role will be part of the Connectivity - Enterprise Solutions team and will be responsible for the technical contributions to the cloud-based solutions development team. This group will design, develop, and support cloud-based production systems (AWS, Azure, etc.), as well as mobile applications. The role requires working with product management, systems engineering, and the technical leads of multiple project teams to plan and implement regular scheduled releases as well as managing issues relate4d to newly discovered security vulnerabilities.
Part of a broader Connectivity team, the Enterprise Solutions team develops and maintains a number of enterprise systems that enable subscription-based managed services which improve CPI's customer operational efficiencies through remote management of their field base. We are part of a global team with offices in 7 countries and 11 locations, with the headquarters in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Additionally, we partner with a number of 3rd party engineering firms and our Crane India Design Center for new product development.
Our solutions are hosted on Azure and AWS and we follow well-defined Agile software development processes.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Execute the vision for CPI IOT platforms, web based customer applications, and mobile applications, based on input from the Director of Connectivity Engineering, Product Management, and customer requirements
Be responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure
Works with IT leadership to design, build, and maintain a stable and efficient infrastructure to optimize service delivery across production, QA, and development environments throughout the development lifecycle, while optimizing cost of operation
Work with team leaders to plan and manage multiple simultaneous enterprise level system development projects, including defining design strategies, and to ensure capacity-based planning to drive efficiencies across all projects
Responsible for implementing a continuous improvement program
Establish KPIs and continuously refine processes to improve quality and efficiency
Lead 3rd party suppliers involved in solution development
Work with Scrum master and/or Project Engineers to manage incoming feature requests, bug reports and vulnerability notifications from the CPI security tools into workflow
Provide inputs and status for a product roadmap for enterprise solutions and mobile apps
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Coputer Engineering, or other related field, or a combination of education, training, and experience
10+ years of programming and software development experience with programming languages: C#, .Net Framework, >Net Core, and in general know your way around the full Microsoft.Net stack, JAVA
Adanced experience working with relational databases and NoSQL database, SQL Server - design, performance, tuning, scalability and comfort with a high performance large data environment
Advanced experience with front-end development using modern stacks like Angular or React
Experience with deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of cloud-based high-volume web applications and production systems (AWS / Azure, etc.). Leas efforts to design & deploy new applications, migration of legacy applications into cloud (AWS / Azure, etc.)
Experience with Web Services (SOAP, and/or REST)
Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar: Git/GitHub; Artifactory
Experience in issue-tracking systems maintenance (Jira, Trac)
Potential ability to act effectively as a lead of an engineering team in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Able to multi-task and adapt quickly
Knowledge of software engineering practices for the full life cycle of software development, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability ti very quickly understand and relate project status and issues via clear verbal and written means
AWS certification a plus
Experience with CPI compliant products is a plus
Up to 10% travel
