WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of the facility. Your primary responsibility will be to perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and address repairs to maintain a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment. This role will involve working with various systems and equipment, such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify potential issues
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and systems to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of assets
Repair and Troubleshooting:
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address issues with plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other building components
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to identify the root cause and implement effective solutions
Building Systems maintenance:
Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure optimal performance
Inspect and repair lighting systems, including bulbs, ballasts, and fixtures
Groundskeeping:
- Monitors facility grounds for leaks, drainage issues, compliance requirements, rood conditions, and safety concerns
Equipment Operation:
Operate and maintain tools and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks
Identify and report potential safety hazards and take corrective actions as needed
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records for refrigerant usage, AC repairs, maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment inspections
Provide regular updates on maintenance tasks and report any recurring issues
Other duties maybe required
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Qualifications and Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent; 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
Proven experience in general maintenance, including knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently
Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor
Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations
Familiarity with basic computer programs for record keeping
